September 2021: UltraTech Cement’s Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) division bagged four awards at National Safety Awards 2020 including a Golden trophy or the Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar Award. The prestigious National Safety Council of India (NSCI) awarded these four recognitions to UltraTech Cement’s RMC units under the MSME category.
It is UltraTech’s constant endeavour to adopt best safety measures. The Company’s commitment towards safety has led to a continuous reduction in Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) for its RMC business. This has helped us maintain highest standards of safety in our operations across our 130+ RMC plants. UltraTech remains committed to ensure complete workplace safety and welfare of its workers. These awards stand testimony to our sustained efforts to maintain high safety standards.

The National Safety Council of India (NSCI) is an apex level organization in the field of Occupational Safety and Health in India. It was set up by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India. It facilitates sharing of latest national and international developments and the best practices in the field. In 2019, UltraTech RMC was the recipient of the Sarvashreshtha Suraksha Puraskar for its Old Mahabaliram Road RMC plant.
