Mr. Arun Adhikari

Independent Director

Arun Adhikari is an alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has also undergone an Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA. He joined Hindustan Lever Limited as a Management Trainee in 1977 and worked with the Unilever Group in India, UK, Japan and Singapore. His areas of responsibility include strategy, corporate development, sales, consumer research and marketing, culminating in general management and leadership roles. He retired from Unilever in January 2014.

Mrs Alka Bharucha

Mrs. Alka Bharucha began her career with Mulla&Mulla&Craigie Blunt & Caroe, and joined Amarchand & Mangaldas as partner in 1992. In 2008, she co-founded Bharucha & Partners which, since inception, has been ranked by RSG Consulting, London among the top fifteen firms in India. For years, Alka has been ranked by Chambers Global, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal amongst India’s leading lawyers. Alka chairs the transactions practice at Bharucha & Partners. Her core areas of expertise are mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, banking and finance. Alka has particular experience acting for financial services clients as well as those in the power and logistics sector. She is also actively engaged in representing trans-national corporations for investments in retail, defence and manufacturing space.

Mr Sunil Duggal

Independent Director

Mr. Duggal is a Bachelor of Technology Hons. (Electrical Engineering) from BITS, Pilani and holds a post graduate diploma in Business Management (Marketing) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Mr. Duggal joined Dabur India Limited in 1994 and served as CEO of the FMCG major for 17 years from 2002 till 2019, becoming the longest serving CEO of the FMCG major. Mr. Duggal has chaired and co-chaired numerous committees such as Indo-Turkish JBC and FICCI Committee on Food processing. Awarded numerous accolades such as being recognised as FMCG CEO of the year thrice and amongst India's top wealth creators several times. He was also honoured with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta in 2019 for achievement in the business and social fields.

Mr. K. C. Jhanwar

Managing Director,

UltraTech Cement Limited.

 

Mr. K. C. Jhanwar, managing director of UltraTech Cement Limited, is a veteran of the Aditya Birla Group with a career spanning more than 38 years in the Group. A chartered accountant by profession, Mr Jhanwar joined the Cement business of Aditya Birla Group as a management trainee in 1981.

Within the Group, he has worked across finance, operations and general management roles in the cement and chemical sectors, and has expertise in project management and commercial skills. He also has significant experience in acquisitions and integration. He has been exceptional in his networking and relationship building skills with customers and other stakeholders and has built a strong franchise for the business. He has been a capable team builder and has strong people skills.

Mr. S B Mathur

Independent Director

S B Mathur is a Chartered Accountant who has served as the Chairman of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) from August, 2002 to October, 2004. He now has the honour of being the Ex-officio Secretary General of Life Insurance Council. He is on the board of various companies. He also holds Trusteeships, Advisory/Administrative Roles on Government Bodies, Authorities and Corporations.

Mrs. Sukanya Kripalu

Mrs. Sukanya Kripalu is a graduate from St. Xavier's College and an alumni of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. She specializes in the field of marketing, strategy, advertising and market research, among others. Her experience includes working with leading corporates like Nestle India Limited, Cadbury India Limited and Kellogg's India. She was also the CEO of Quadra Advisory and is presently the Director at Sukanya Consulting.

Mr. Atul Daga

Business Head, Executive Director & CFO

An Aditya Birla Group veteran for 33 years, Mr. Atul Daga, is a chartered accountant by profession. He has served as the CFO in multiple businesses within the group. His experience is broad based in sectors such as cement, retail, aluminum, carbon black, textiles, tyre cord & fibre. Mr. Atul Daga was instrumental in restructuring of the Group's overseas businesses. As Principal Executive Assistant to Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla and Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, he imbibed the vision to take Indian business beyond its geographical boundaries while retaining the humane values and principles espoused by our founder. Mr. Atul Daga has gained experience in different roles like Financial Planning, Treasury Management, Business Strategy, Merger & Acquisition, and Investor Relations. He has been ranked amongst the top three CFOs in the Building Materials Segment in Asia by the Institutional Investor magazine. Some of his key achievements include acquisitions for over US$4 billion in the cement industry in India as well as divestment of non-core assets outside India. He has also been instrumental in setting up a state-of-the-art 700-member Shared Services Centre for the accounting function of UltraTech.

Mr. K. K. Maheshwari

Mr. Maheshwari has been a long serving member of the Aditya Birla Group, and brings in multi business, multi-geography and multi-cultural exposure, and has held a variety of roles across the Group. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, with around 38 years of experience, of which over 3 decades have been with the Aditya Birla Group, Mr. Maheshwari has built extensive profit and cost centre experience in more than one Business. He scripted the growth of the Group’s VSF Business towards a more competitive and sustainable model, guiding greenfield and brownfield expansions in India and overseas. He has brought in strong execution rigor to his work, and has considerably strengthened both innovation and new products development.
