HOW TO MIX CONCRETE MANUALLY

Concrete plays an important role in the construction of our home. We can mix the concrete either with the help of a drum mixer or manually. When required in small quantities, concrete mixing can be done manually, using hands.

Step No.1

You must make sure to mix the concrete on a surface that has no water seepage

Step No.2

First of all, cement and sand should be mixed until they are of one single colour

Step No.3

Then this mixture is to be poured on aggregates and mixed using a spade

Step No.4

A small pit should be dug in the middle of the mixture, and water should be poured into it

Step No.5

Mixing should be done from the outside in

Step No.6

The concrete should be mixed until it reaches the required consistency

Step No.7

When mixing concrete with hands, 10% more cement is added

Step No.8

Remember, it is important to use the mixture soon after it’s made or else the concrete might set.
